JUNIOR LITURGY will not be held on 1 January 2012. Junior Liturgy will resume on Sunday, 8 January 2012. New schedules are ready for pick-up for Junior Liturgy Leaders.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS EXECUTIVE MEETING will take place on Tuesday, 3 January 2012, at 7:30 p.m. in the parish hall. The next General Meeting will take place on Tuesday, 10 January 2012.

FIRST FRIDAY DEVOTION On Friday, 6 January 2012, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will commence at 9:00 a.m. and continue until 5:00 p.m. You are encouraged to spend an hour with the Lord.

BUILDING FUND The monthly collection of the Building Fund will be taken up next weekend, 7-8 January 2012. Your support continues to make a difference.

ST. PAUL CATHOLIC SCHOOL COUNCIL CHRISTMAS TREE PICK-UP The annual Christmas Tree Pick-up is Sunday, 8 January 2012. Please put your tree out by 10:00 a.m. Pick-up fee is $10.00 and can be left in an envelope in your mailbox or taped to the tree. PARISH COUNCIL MEETING The next meeting of the Pastoral Parish Council will take place on Thursday, 12 January 2012, at 7:00 p.m., in the parish hall.

FIRST RECONCILIATION/COMMUNION ENROLMENT CEREMONY The enrolment ceremony for children planning to celebrate their First Reconciliation/First Communion at St. Joseph’s will be held at all Masses on 21-22 January 2012. First Reconciliation will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, 16 February 2012, and First Communion will take place on Sunday, 6 May 2012, at 2:00 p.m. If you wish to register your child for First Communion, and have yet to do so, please contact the parish office at 613-547-5004 as soon as possible.

CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE MEMBERSHIP DRIVE The Catholic Women’s League of Canada is a national organization rooted in gospel values calling its members to holiness through service to the people of God. The annual membership drive will take place here at St. Joseph’s on 28-29 January and 4-5 February 2012. Catholic Women’s League members will be at the church entrances to receive your membership fees of $20.00 for 2012. Every woman of St. Joseph’s Parish, sixteen years of age and older, is invited to be a member of the League.

OUR COMMUNITY

NEW LIFE GROUP MEETING is a Catholic Ministry for the Separated and Divorced. Meetings are held on alternate Tuesday evenings at the Diocesan Centre, 390 Palace Road, Kingston. The next meeting will take place on Tuesday, 3 January 2012, 7:30 p.m. All are welcome.

12TH ANNUAL KINGSTON INTERFAITH NEW YEAR’S DAY SERVICE will be held this Sunday, 1 January 2012, at 1:00 p.m., at the Kingston Unitarian Fellowship, 206 Concession Street, Kingston. Join us for refreshments following the service.

ST. ANDREW SCHOOL OF EVANGELIZATION invites you to “New Life,” at St. Michael the Archangel Parish Centre, Belleville, from 6:30 p.m., Friday, 13 January to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, 15 January.
