First Reading: 1 Samuel 3:3-10, 19
After being called four times by God, the boy Samuel understands who it is and responds: “Speak, Lord, your servant is listening.”
Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 6:13-15, 17-20
United with Jesus, we are one spirit with him and our bodies become temples of the Holy Spirit.
Gospel: John 1:35-42
John the Baptist points out Jesus as “the Lamb of God” and two of his followers become Jesus’ first disciples.

CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE The monthly General Meeting will take place on Monday, 15 January 2018, at 7:00 p.m., at which time the Election and Installation of New Officers will take place.
BUILDING FUND The monthly collection of the Building Fund will take place this weekend, 13-14 January 2018. Your support continues to make a difference. Thank you.
CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE MEMBERSHIP DRIVE The Catholic Women’s League of Canada is a national organization rooted in Gospel values, calling its members to holiness through service to the people of God. The Annual Membership Drive will take place this weekend, 20-21 January 2018 here at St. Joseph’s. CWL members will be at the church entrances at all Masses to receive your membership renewal fees of $20.00 for 2018. New members, women from age 16 and up, are always welcome! Transfers from other churches are also accepted.

HOSPITALITY SUNDAY The next Hospitality Sunday will take place on Sunday, 28 January 2018, after the 9:00 & 11:00 a.m. Masses. The gracious hosts will be the staff and students of St. Thomas More Catholic School. Please join us in the parish hall for fellowship and refreshments.

SPIRITUAL INQUIRY The next session of the Spiritual Inquiry will be held on Wednesday, 7 February 2018, from 7:00-8:30 p.m., in the parish hall. As in the past, it is an excellent opportunity to discuss our Catholic faith, religious practices and spiritual belief. With no prescribed agenda, topics have been quite varied and thought-provoking in past sessions. In a relaxed, accepting environment, participants have the opportunity to express their thoughts, raise questions or simply listen to the responses of others in attendance. Coffee/tea will be offered.

PARENT INFORMATION MEETING FOR SACRAMENTS OF FIRST RECONCILIATION AND FIRST COMMUNION All parents of grade two students who wish that their children celebrate the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and First Reconciliation here at St. Joseph’s are invited to attend a Parent Information Meeting on Tuesday, 20 February 2018, at 7:00 p.m. in St. Joseph’s parish hall. Since this is the first planning meeting for the celebration of these Sacraments, it is particularly important that the parents of all children attend. The Enrollment Ceremony will take place on the weekend of 7-8 April 2018.
