Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

7 July 2019

“The Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them out ahead of him, in pairs.”

Introduction

Jesus relies upon us to make him known and loved in the world.

Todays Readings

First Reading: Isaiah 66:10-14

In the Jerusalem Temple, God promises to comfort the nations, as a mother comforts her child.

Second Reading: Galatians 6:14-18

Paul’s only boast is that he shares in the cross of Jesus.

Gospel: Luke 10:1-12, 17-20

For the returning seventy-two disciples, the good news is that their names are written in heaven.
