My Lord and my God!




Our Lord is not put off by the weakness of the Twelve. As we shall see today, after his resurrection, he comes to find them and makes them true apostles.

A vision of the risen Lord, who has the keys of death and of the underworld.


Gospel: John 20:19-31


The risen Jesus gives the power to forgive sin, and convinces doubting Thomas.

YEAR OF MERCY VOLUNTEER POSITIONS In this Year of Mercy, St. Joseph’s Parish will be showcasing a variety of volunteer possibilities. Over the following weeks, we will provide information regarding those activities needing volunteers.


THE SENIORS CENTRE – a not-for-profit, voluntary, and charitable organization specializing in recreation and leisure activities for todays active, older adults is in need of volunteers in a variety of areas, including food services, instructors, special events, committees, and more. LEGION OF MARY PRAYER REQUEST CARD If you have any prayer requests or needs, please let us know and let us pray for you by filling out a Prayer Request Card, found at each of the entrances, and placing it in the box indicated in the St. Joseph’s Room. Submit as many prayer requests as you wish!



The next Executive Meeting will take place on Monday, 4 April, at 7:00 p.m., in the parish hall. The General Meeting will take place on Monday, 11 April, at 7:00 p.m., in the parish hall. Our speaker is Ann Boniferro, Coordinator of Religious & Family Life Education. She will present the new curriculum changes, the new Catholic resources for grades 1-10, and the implementation plan for Catholic classrooms. All interested female parishioners 16+ years are welcome to come and listen. Don’t forget to bring your donation of either baby items or a monetary offering, to help support BIRTHRIGHT! Donations will be accepted until the end of April; please place them in the marked box in the parish office.


BUILDING FUND The monthly collection of the Building Fund will take place next weekend, 9-10 April 2016. Your support continues to make a difference. Thank you.


HOSPITALITY SUNDAY The next Hospitality Sunday will take place on Sunday, 24 April 2016, after the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Masses. If you are willing to bring squares, cookies or loaves for this event, please sign up on the sheets provided at the church entrances.




PROVIDENCE SPIRITUALITY CENTRE is offering a Day of Reflection, “Cultivating the Garden Within,” on 21 April 2016, from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Please call to register by 7 April, at 613-542-8826. Cost is $25.00


DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY On Sunday, 3 April, Holy Mass for Divine Mercy Sunday will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., at St. Mary’s Cathedral, followed by the blessing of images and the veneration of the relic of St. Faustina. The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be sung at 3:00 p.m., and a reception will follow in the vestibule of the Cathedral.


CURSILLISTAS There will be an ULTREYA on Sunday, 10 April 2016, at St. John the Apostle Church Hall, 88 Patrick Street, Kingston, from 2:00-3:00 p.m., and will consist of a witness talk, response, small groups, music & prayer. KINGSTON MEDITATES FOR PEACE takes place from now until 13 April on Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m., at Providence Motherhouse, 1200 Princess Street, Front Entrance. Learn tools and techniques to improve mood and reduce stress, using a range of meditation techniques each week. Meditations will be 20-30 minutes, with discussion and light refreshments afterwards. Donations gratefully accepted.


NEW EVANGELIZATION SUMMIT 2016 IN KINGSTON World Youth Day pilgrims are excited to be hosting the New Evangelization Summit – a web-conference that has been designed to inspire Catholics and help them live out their personal call to evangelize. 25TH ANNIVERSARY Mother Teresa Catholic School will be celebrating their 25th Anniversary on Saturday, 16 April 2016.
