Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time
12 February 2017
“But I say this to you.”
To live a good life is well within our grasp, says the Lord, but in a wicked world virtue needs deep roots.
First Reading: Ecclesiasticus 15:15-20
Goodness is possible for everyone. No one has permission to sin.
Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 2:6-10
True wisdom of life is found in Christ Jesus.
Gospel: Matthew 5:17-37
Goodness is never skin-deep. Virtue is not cheap.
