2015 INCOME TAX RECEIPTS Please help us with postage costs by stopping to retrieve your income tax receipt from the volunteer at the main entrance of the church.


CATHOLIC MISSIONS COLLECTION A special Diocesan collection for Catholic Missions in Canada (Scarboro Missions) will be taken up this weekend, 6-7 February 2016. This collection will be forwarded to the Archdiocese no later than 1 March 2016; please ensure that you have made your donation by this date.



The next General Meeting is on Monday, 8 February 2016, at 7:00 p.m., in the parish hall. Unfortunately, our guest speaker had to cancel. We will be welcoming our new members though, and anyone who is 16+ of age is welcome to come and get a feeling for what the Catholic Women’s League is all about!   1. VINCENT DE PAUL DONATIONS St. Joseph’s Catholic Women’s League’s annual collection of personal care items to donate to St. Vincent de Paul begins on 8 February 2016. Personal-size shampoo & conditioner, body wash, deodorant, bar soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes are most popular. All parishioners are welcome to donate by dropping items into the marked boxes in the parish hall.


ASH WEDNESDAY MASSES Ashes will be distributed at the 9:00 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. Masses, and at the 10:30 a.m. School Mass on Wednesday, 10 February 2016.


STATIONS OF THE CROSS During the weeks of Lent, the Stations of the Cross will be said on Friday evenings, following the 5:15 p.m. Mass. All are warmly welcomed to this beautiful prayer of the Church.


BUILDING FUND The monthly collection of the Building Fund will take place next weekend, 13-14 January 2016. Your support continues to make a difference. Thank you.


HOSPITALITY SUNDAY The next Hospitality Sunday will take place on Sunday, 28 February 2016, after the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Masses. If you are willing to bring squares, cookies or loaves for this event, please sign up on the sheets provided at the church entrances.




PRIEST, PROPHET, KING A deep, biblical look at Jesus Christ. The better we understand Jesus, the better we understand ourselves. But who was Jesus, this itinerant preacher whom many called the Messiah? Bishop Robert Barron takes us through this 3-week program, starting Tuesday, 9 February, at 6:45 p.m., at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 1111 Taylor-Kidd Boul. PANCAKE SUPPER will be held on Tuesday, 9 February 2016, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School, 1085 Woodbine Road. REGIOPOLIS-NOTRE DAME’S PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT will be held for parents of grade 8 students on Thursday, 11 February 2016, at 6:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria, followed by an open house of classrooms and displays in the school. Students and parents interested in information on the International Baccalaureate Program should plan to attend an information session beginning at 5:30 p.m., in the Upper Room (second floor).


THE RITE OF ELECTION WITH CATECHUMENS AND THE RITE OF CALLING BAPTIZED CANDIDATES TO LENTEN RENEWAL On Sunday, 14 February 2016, at 4:00 p.m., at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Archbishop O’Brien will celebrate the Rite of Election with catechumens of the Archdiocese of Kingston. At the same celebration, all baptized candidates seeking full communion with the Catholic Church will be called to Lenten renewal. All parishioners are welcome to attend this special event and to support our new brothers and sisters in faith. Refreshments will be served afterwards at St. Mary’s Parish Centre.
