Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

21 January 2018

Follow me.

Today we learn that we are called to be prepared to repent and reorient our lives towards following Jesus and bringing the Good News into the world.

Todays Readings

First Reading: Jonah 3:1-5, 10

Jonah is asked by God to go to the city of Nineveh and call upon the people to repent.  They renounce their evil behaviour, and God is merciful to them.

Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 7:29-31

The world as we know it is passing away and we should not be too engrossed with material things.

Gospel: Mark 1:14-20

Jesus calls his first disciples, and they follow without having any idea where it will lead them.
