The Epiphany of the Lord
7 January 2018
“The sight of the star filled them with delight.”
The wise men went in search of the light of the world, realizing as they travelled that it was God, the maker of the stars, who was actually leading them by the light of the star.
First Reading: Isaiah 60:1-6
Isaiah exults over the light and glory through which the nations will come to the Lord.
Second Reading: Ephesians 3:2-3, 5-6
Pagan and Gentile nations are now being given their place in the Church.
Gospel: Matthew 2:1-12
The wise men are led by God’s grace through the light of a star to worship the Lord and give him their gifts.

CHRISTMAS BASKETS Thanks to St. Joseph’s generous parishioners, we were able to assist not 50, but 60, families in need this past Christmas. With copious amounts of food and monetary donations, sixty families had a Christmas they might otherwise have missed. We even had a bit of food left over, from filling the baskets very full, to donate to St. Vincent de Paul. Thank you again for your continued generosity.
2017 DONATIONS St. Joseph’s Parish Year-End occurred on 31 December; therefore, donations received after this date will need to be recorded in 2018. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
