Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

1 July 2018

Do not be afraid; only have faith.

Introduction

Today’s readings highlight God’s power, but, still more, God’s love for each one of us.

Todays Readings

First Reading: Wisdom 1:13-15; 2:23-24

Death is not of God’s making, nor does God rejoice in the destruction of the living.

Second Reading: 2 Corinthians 8:7; 9; 13-15

As you are rich in every respect, may you abound in charity, remembering that Jesus became poor so that we might become rich.

Gospel: Mark 5:21-43

Jesus brings good health to a woman who, for twelve years, has suffered from a haemorrhage, and restores to life a young girl, just twelve years old.
