FAREWELL RECEPTION FOR FR. FRANCIS ZAMBON The next few weeks will be a time of transition in this parish. Fr. Francis Zambon, who has been the Associate Pastor here at St. Joseph’s for the last three years, will become Associate Pastor of St. Peter-in-Chains, Trenton.
An opportunity will be provided to express our gratitude to Fr. Francis at the 11:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, 30 July 2017. Immediately after the celebration of the Eucharist, we will have a reception on the parish lawn so that you may offer your good wishes.

BIRTHRIGHT Thank you to all parishioners who returned a baby bottle on Father’s Day; there are currently a number of baby bottles still waiting to be returned. Come to the New Life Group Meeting, a Catholic Ministry for the Separated and Divorced, on alternate Tuesday evenings, from 7:30-9:30 p.m. The next meeting will take place on Tuesday, 18 July 2017, at the Francis J. ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION FOR ARCHBISHOP O’BRIEN This is a special year for Archbishop O’Brien, as he marks his 30th Anniversary as a Bishop and his 10th Anniversary as Archbishop of Kingston. He is now the longest-serving bishop in office in English Canada. To show our appreciation for Archbishop O’Brien’s ministry among us, there will be a celebration at St. Mary’s Cathedral on Sunday, 30 July 2017, beginning with Mass at 10:30 a.m., followed by a reception on the Cathedral lawn. All are welcome to attend.

GALA 2017 Queen’S MBA Charity Gala is a student-run initiative that aims to make a difference within the Kingston community by supporting a local charity or philanthropic cause. The event seeks to bring those from within and outside Kingston together for a night filled with fun, entertainment and celebration. This year’s recipient will be the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Kingston. It will be held on Thursday, 31 August 2017, starting with cocktails at 6:00 p.m., at The Harbour Restaurant. CONFERENCE IN KINGSTON We are called to hear and reflect on the Word of God to become more deeply the word of God ourselves and proclaim it by our lives. This gathering will focus on the role of the Word of God in our lives as Catholics. We shall explore the place God’s Word has in the preparation for Baptism, Confirmation and first sharing in Holy Communion, as well as the implications of having the Word of God at the heart of the initiation process (RCIA).
