Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time
25 June 2017
“Do not be afraid.”
“Do not be afraid,” says Jesus. The Eucharist is our assurance that, since God has given us everything, there is nothing we need fear.
First Reading: Jeremiah 20:10-13
Surrounded by malice and threat, Jeremiah still retains confidence in God’s promise.
Second Reading: Romans 5:12-15
Humans brought sin into the world, but divine grace comes to us through Jesus Christ.
Gospel: Matthew 10:26-33
There is no need to be afraid; we are totally and for ever in God’s care.
