The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi)

3 June 2018

Make the preparations for us there.

Introduction

Christ Jesus is the greatest gift of God to humanity.  Yet every gift is measured, not just by its value, but by our ability to receive that gift.  In the Eucharist, we are given a way to receive Christ.

Todays Readings

First Reading: Exodus 24:3-8

Worship is a matter of obedience, because only God can reveal God.

Second Reading: Hebrews 9:11-15

Christ’s death, which was the end, becomes the way to eternal life.

Gospel: Mark 14:12-16, 22-26

Old wine for new wine.  Old lives for new lives.  That is the kingdom.

BUILDING FUND  The monthly collection of the Building Fund will take place next weekend, 9-10 June 2018.  Your support continues to make a difference, especially this year as we proceed to put a new roof on the church.  Thank you.

HOSPITALITY SUNDAY The next Hospitality Sunday will take place on Sunday, 24 June 2018, after the 9:00 & 11:00 a.m. Masses.  If you are able to provide snacks, please sign up at the entrances.  Please join us in the parish hall for fellowship and refreshments.
