Introduction
Today we hear how Jesus cleansed the Temple by clearing out those who were demeaning his Father’s house.

In cleansing the Temple, Jesus declares that he, through his death and resurrection, is to replace the Temple.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS During the weeks of Lent, the Stations of the Cross will be said on Friday evenings, following the 5:15 p.m. Mass. All are warmly welcomed to this beautiful prayer of the Church.
BUILDING FUND The monthly collection of the Building Fund will take place this weekend, 4 March 2018. Your support continues to make a difference, especially this year as we proceed to put a new roof on the church. Thank you.

CWL SPRING BAKE SALE awaits you in the parish hall after each Mass this weekend. We have cakes, pies, cookies, bars, squares, brownies, fudge, etc., that will easily freeze until after Lent, if need be! Please take a few minutes to help support your CWL ladies as they strive to emulate the good works of our Lord throughout the year, with the help of the Holy Spirit that lives within each of us.

CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE Executive Meeting will be held on Monday, 5 March 2018, at 7:00 p.m., in the parish hall. The General Meeting will be held on Monday, 12 March 2018, at 7:00 p.m. in the parish hall. Our speaker will be Chris Catry, Resource Development Coordinator from Habitat for Humanity Kingston Limestone Region, who will be accompanied by Heather Hall, a member of their Speakers Bureau. They will describe how this organization is helping local working families achieve the dream of home ownership, their upcoming plans and ways that the Parish and CWL can get involved to help. “Access to safe, decent and affordable housing is a basic human right that should be available to everyone.” All ladies 16 and up are welcome to come and listen!
MUSICAL AFTERNOON On Thursday, 8 March 2018, from 1:00-3:00 p.m., the Social Committee of the St. Joseph’s Pastoral Council will provide an afternoon of musical entertainment, featuring Chris Murphy, Jon McLurg and Brian Flynn (of Turpin’s Trail), for those who are Irish, and for those who “wish they were.” Please join us in the church for an opportunity to enjoy local musicians. Light refreshments will be served in the parish hall. Come and bring a friend or two! A free-will monetary offering would be appreciated.
LENTEN PENANCE CELEBRATION The Lenten Penance Celebration for St. Joseph’s will be held on Sunday, 11 March 2018, at 2:00 p.m. Following a brief liturgy, all will have the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. A number of visiting clergy will be present for this celebration, and all in the parish, and indeed from outside the parish, are most welcome to attend.
