NATIONAL WEEK FOR LIFE AND THE FAMILY will be celebrated 8-15 May 2016. The Church in Canada will focus on the theme: My Family: A School of Mercy. In God’s great plan for humanity, the family is intended to be the privileged place where merciful love is first encountered and nurtured. No family is perfect; but parents and children who stay in touch with Christ through prayer, the Word of God, and the Sacraments gradually become more and more like Christ, who is mercy made flesh. During this National Week for Life and Family, let us celebrate our families’ wonderful calling to be ‘schools of mercy’.

A proposal is being developed to assess the possibility of creating a Catholic Heritage Centre within the church building to serve as the archive of the Archdiocese of Kingston and related Catholic organizations. The steps towards this objective will be outlined at this informal meeting. Please join us.
